“I’ve been running for as long as I can remember!” Her father is Bruce Gomez, beloved Taos Tigers coach. “But it’s not the only thing about me.”

Senior year is surreal. It's a time of transition from the high school journey to the beginning of adulthood. There’s excitement, uncertainty, nostalgia. It’s both thrilling and intimidating, and not just for the students!

Santiago says his goal is to “view life from a different perspective,” but to ultimately come back to Northern New Mexico “to make a positive impact and live sustainably.”

Gunther — a Bridges Project for Education alumna and graduate of Taos High — brings a personal connection to the organization's mission and a wealth of experience in the field of college access.

“The Bridges Project Mahjong Event,” fundraising event will take place in the Encore Gallery at Taos Center for the Arts (TCA) on Thursday, October 12, from 4 - 6:30pm. 

Sam Montoya will join the freshman class of '27 at New Mexico State University this fall.
